Daily reminders
Pick your days and a time. If you haven't used the Boat by then, it tags you in the Boat channel, once. Everyone sets their own, and they're off until you turn them on.
Set yours
/remind set days:weekdays time:6pm
- days:
weekdays, daily, weekends, or the days you want, likemon wed friorTue/Thu. - time: pick an hour from the list. Times are in your server’s time zone.
The Boat confirms it, and only you see the reply, for example: “Mon, Wed and Fri at 6pm”.
What counts
Any Boat command counts as that day’s action: a /log, a look at /leads, even /board. If you’ve used the Boat that day by your time, there’s no tag.
What the tag looks like
At your time, the Boat posts in its channel:
Reminder for @you: nothing from you on the Boat yet today. One small step counts, like a
/logor a look at/leads.
If several people are due at the same hour, they share one message. You’re tagged at most once a day, and the Boat never pings anyone else.
Change or stop it
/remind statusshows your reminder./remind setagain replaces it./remind offturns it off.
Good to know
- Reminders are checked on the hour. If a check runs a little late, the reminder still goes out, up to 3 hours after your time.
- The tag is public on purpose: accountability works better with friends watching. If you’d rather not, just don’t set one.
