Privacy policy

fishin.dev is a waitlist for the Boat, a Discord bot that isn't open yet. This page covers the website and the waitlist. The short version: we collect an email address so we can write to you once.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you join the waitlist.
• Your message and email address, if you email us.

That's all. There are no accounts, and we don't ask for your name or any payment details.

Why we collect it

• To send you one email when there's a spot for you.
• To reply when you write to us.

Where it's kept

• Formspree, a form service, receives waitlist sign-ups and passes them on to us. If the form opens your email app instead, your address reaches us by email.
• Proton hosts our email, so waitlist emails and anything you send us are kept in our Proton mailbox.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and, like any web host, keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to run and protect the site.
• Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google's servers.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your email address or share it with anyone for marketing.
• We don't use cookies, analytics or trackers on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email address until we've sent your invite or you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Email fishin-dev@proton.me and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site and the waitlist aren't for anyone under 16. If you're under 16, please don't sign up.

The Boat itself

The Boat will handle more than an email address, so it will have its own, fuller privacy policy, published before launch.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
